British Council International School Award
We are delighted to have been presented with our certificate for Reaccreditation of the British Council International Award for 2025 to 2028.

Our International Coordinator, Ms Chappells, attended the British Council celebration event at Westminster on 2nd February to receive a certificate and plaque in recognition of all the amazing work done by CHSFG students supported by parents and staff to promote and embed international themes in our subjects and the wider school curriculum.
The event was hosted by Mark Stephens CMG, Director of Cultural Engagement at the British Council and he praised all of the schools for their commitment to improving understanding of other countries and cultures in preparation for life in a global society. The guest speaker was Uma Kumaran, Labour MP for Stratford and Bow who is a member of the foreign affairs committee and has a background in diplomatic and international relations. She spoke about the important role of schools in introducing students to international themes. We also heard from some students in her constituency who spoke about how important it was to them that they could be involved in celebrating all cultures as it fostered a sense of belonging and that it made them feel ‘seen and heard’.
We are really proud at Chislehurst School for Girls to be empowering our students and giving them the opportunity to become confident global citizens.
